BB tops Financial Cyber Drill 2021

The Bangladesh Bank secured first position among 38 financial institutions in the country in Financial Cyber Dril-2021 while bKash stood second and IDLC Finance and Janata Bank jointly became third.

Bangladesh government’s e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT) on Saturday arranged the Cyber Drill-2021 marking 50 years of Bangladesh and the Mujib Year to enhance skill of handling cyber incidents in financial institutions.

Bangladesh Computer Council and the Digital Security Agency extended their support to organise the daylong drill.

In it, 38 financial institutions participated in several groups where BB got the first place with 55 marks, said a press release of BGD e-GOV CIRT.

Mercantile Bank got the fourth position with 41 marks, the press release added.

The drill was organised for the second time to enhance the skills of cyber security personnel and prepare them for possible disasters.
