BSCIC one-stop service receives top award in innovation expo

The ‘one-stop service’ of Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation has ranked first in the innovation exhibition-2020-21 organised by the Ministry of Industries. 

BSCIC secretary Md Mofidul Islam on Tuesday received the certificate of the award from the secretary of Ministry of Industries Zakia Sultana for holding the top position, said a BSCIC press release.

The award ceremony was attended, among others, by Sharifa Khan, member of the Industry and Energy Division of the Planning Commission.

Some 13 departmental agencies under the Ministry of Industries participated in the exhibition where BSCIC ranked top as per the evaluation by the Industry Ministries.

Addressing the ceremony, BSCIC chairman Md. Mostaque Hassan said, “BSCIC has been developing environment-friendly industries across the country. BSCIC has, meanwhile, inaugurated the one-stop service for the business to ensure services from a single platform.”

BSCIC has taken master plans of forming 13 flagships programs to make Bangladesh an ecofriendly developed country within 2041, said the release.

Meanwhile, BSCIC has inaugurated two programs including BSCIC One Stop Service and BSCIC Online Market. One-Stop Service was inaugurated on 13 June 2021 while Online Market on 16 September 2021.
