All areas, including remote ones of the country, will come under broadband connectivity by 2025, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak has said.
“The government is giving utmost importance to digital inclusion to boost the rural economy, said the state minister.
On Tuesday, he said this while virtually presenting the keynote paper at a programme “Frontier Technology Policy Experimentation and Regulatory Sandboxes in Asia and the Pacific” organized by the United Nations Department of Economy and Social Affairs.
‘Telehealth’ development in the country was more than 300 per cent during the Covid-19 period, he said.
“During this period, 13,000 community health clinics have been set up to provide different services including video conferencing, test report sharing, and specialist consultation. Some 98 per cent of them were connected through mobile phone,” he added.
