Shahidul new president of BCS Customs and VAT Association

Customs, Excise and VAT Appellate Tribunal President (Member, NBR) Dr Md Shahidul Islam was elected as the new president while Customs Additional Commissioner AKM Nurul Huda Azad was elected as the

new secretary general of the BCS Customs and VAT Association for the 2021-2023 period.

  The Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election to the 21-member committee of the Association were held yesterday evening at the Bashundhara Convention Center in the capital.

  NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem was present as the chief guest, said a press release.

  The other office bearers of the committee are: Vice Presidents: Director General of VAT Audit, Intelligence and Investigation Directorate Dr Moinul Haque Khan, Customs Bond Commissionerate commissioner Kazi Mustafizur Rahman, and Customs House, Pangaon, Commissioner Md Shawkat Hossain.

  Joint General Secretaries: Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan, Hasan Muhammad Tarek Rikabdar, Treasurer: Dr Nahida Faridi, Publicity and Cultural Secretary: Shakila Parveen, Office Secretary: Md Iftekhar Alam Bhuiyan.

  The other members of the executive committee are: NBR members Dr Abdul Mannan Shikder and Zakia Sultana, Commissioners Mohammad Enamul Haque.
