Bangladesh’s small and medium entrepreneurs must focus on technology adoption and skill development to tackle the challenges of the 4th industrial revolution.
Addressing a seminar organised by the SME Foundation on Thursday – the 5th day of National SME Product Fair 2021, the organisation’s Chairman Dr Md Masudur Rahman added that the ICT ministry can aid these entrepreneurs by boosting their skills with digital platforms.
Entrepreneurs and CEOs of different businesses and industries attended the event.
In another seminar on “Post-Covid-19 Financing Mechanism for SMEs: Challenges and Readiness” held at the same venue, Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division Sheikh Mohammad Salim Ullah said the government is working to create a suitable environment to aid the development of the SME sector.
At this event, the SME Foundation recommended further strengthening the law and order, and increasing the SME sector budget for ensuring the development of entrepreneurs.
SME Foundation’s Managing Director Dr Md Mofizur Rahman presided over the event, while its Chairman Dr Md Masudur Rahman attended as the chief guest. Bangladesh Chamber of Industries’ (BCI) President Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury was present at the programme as the special guest.
