ICSB holds its 8th convocation

Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) organised its 8th convocation for the qualified chartered secretaries who completed their professional examinations and other requisites of the institute.

The convocation took place at a hotel in Dhaka on Sunday, said a statement from ICSB.

Planning Minister Muhammad Abdul Mannan, Director at the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka Professor Mohammad Abdul Momen and ICSB President Muzaffar Ahmed, among others, spoke at the event.

Chief Advisor and Founder Vice Chancellor, East West University, former Bangladesh Bank Governor Professor Mohammed Farashuddin was the convocation speaker.

Speaking at the event, Mannan said chartered secretaries have the great opportunity of serving the corporate world as practicing chartered secretaries or as company secretaries to promote corporate governance practice in Bangladesh.

He also said that convocation is an important day for all graduates, parents, family and friends. “This achievement is seldom complete without the support of nearest well-wishers.”
