5 govt officials promoted to secretary

Five government officials have been promoted to the rank of secretary, said the Ministry of Public Administration in a circular on Monday.

According to the notification, Md Mahbub Hossain has been made the secretary of the Anti-Corruption Commission. Earlier, he served as Project Director (Additional Secretary) of the Ashrayan Project under the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

Md Abdul Hamid Jamaddar has been promoted as the secretary of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission Secretariat. He was serving as the additional secretary to the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resource.

Besides, Md Humayun Kabir, the divisional commissioner of the Rajshahi Division, was made new secretary of the Railways Ministry. ABM Amin Ullah Nuri, Chairman of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) Dhaka, was made Rajuk secretary.
