bKash, Ispahani Mirzapore Tea and Radhuni were recognised as the top three brands in the country respectively in the 13th edition of Best Brand Award Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Brand Forum (BBF), in partnership with Nielsen Bangladesh and in association with The Daily Star, organised the event at Le Méridien Dhaka on Wednesday.
bKash, mobile financial services of bKash Ltd, operating under the authority of Bangladesh Bank as a subsidiary of BRAC Bank Limited, won recognition as the top brand in Bangladesh.
Apart from Ispahani Mirzapore Tea of Ispahani Tea Ltd and Radhuni of Square Food and Beverage Ltd, RFL Houseware, Grameenphone, Closeup, Sunsilk, Shwapno, Parachute Advanced Hair Oil, Pran Frooto, Lux, Walton, Daraz.com.bd, Coca-Cola, and Lifebuoy were recognised as the other top brands in the country.
“To be really edgy, local brands need to delve in our cultural dimension by understanding the psyche of evolving Bangladesh’s strong brands which has to immerse with Bangladesh being at the core of the brands,” BBF founder and Managing Director Shariful Islam said in his welcome speech.
“Only then brands will be sustainable because it is about striking emotional chords with functionality,” he added.
This year, 102 brands were recognised across 35 distinct categories and recognised 15 overall top brands of the country. BBF has been honouring the most loved brands through Best Brand Award for the last 13 years to inspire the country’s brands.
The objective of the Best Brand Award is to demonstrate and celebrate the success of the brands, achieved through tough and effortful initiatives.
Best Brand Award started its journey with Nielsen Bangladesh in 2008 based on a global model (Winning BrandsTM) done through a direct consumer survey of 8,000 customers across the country which includes self-administrated reviews.
