A newly constructed academic building titled “Mirza Mehdy Ispahani Bhaban” was inaugurated at Ispahani Public School and College in Chattogram on Wednesday.
The school’s governing body President and Chairman of Ispahani Group Mirza Salman Ispahani inaugurated the building at 11:30 am, said a press release.
Besides, Shereen Ishpahani, director of Chittagong Grammar School, also inaugurated a ‘Student-Teacher Centre’ in the newly built building.
In his speech, Mirza Salman pledged to continue his support to turn future generation into enlightened citizen by expanding range of scholarships, research and enhancing standard of education. He also thanked the people who worked tirelessly to construct the
building.
The focus of Mirza Ahmad Ispahani, then head of Ispahani Group, in establishing the educational institute in 1979 was, “Children will be enlightened people and become successful following the path of truth and
welfare”.
Aiming to boost the creativity of students the school authority is also operating 12 clubs under four houses.
Managing Director of Ispahani Group Mirza Shakir Ishpahani, PHP Group Chairman Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, Vice-Chairman of Confidence Cement Limited Rupom Kishore Barua, former president of Chattogram Club Md Abdur Rahim, Omar Gani MES College Principal ANM Sorwar Alam, Freedom Fighter Jahurul Islam Siddiquie, local councilor Morshed Ali, Ispahani Public School and College Principal and member secretary Lt. Col. Md Moinul Islam Chowdhury, were present at the event, among others.
