The ongoing Dhaka International Trade Fair witnesses a rising demand for crockery among consumers as most brands have come up with discounts ranging from 5 per cent to 40 per cent.
The unique style, colour and design have drawn the attention of visitors to the 26th edition of the trade fair being held at Purbachal in the city.
Crockery items including Chopper, Fry Pan, Korai, Pressure Cooker, Cup, Mug, Plate, Water Bottle, Kitchen Knife, Dinner Plate, Dessert Plate, Tea Flask Table Spoon,Tea Spoon, etc, sell like hot cakes.
Talking to The Business Post, Mohammad Mizan, sales executive at DISNIE at DITF, said: “We have a huge collection of kitchen wire, and are getting a very positive response from our customers.”
“Currently, we are offering discounts from 5 per cent to 40 per cent on our different crockery products to attract customers and boost sales as well,” he added.
Another Sales Executive Mohammad Kamrul Hasan at Delhi Aluminium said: “The demand for crockery is very high compared to earlier DITF. Apart from Aluminum items, we have also other items for customers in this fair. We are offering discounts up to 15 per cent.”
According to the customers, they are purchasing the products as they got discount and it would help them meet their family needs.
Saheena Akter who came to visit the fair from Narayanganj shared her view with The Business Post.
She said: “Crockery items are used in household. The prices of such products are up in the market. But the discount is highly inspiring us to go for purchase.”
A total of 225 stalls, 23 pavilions and 27 mini pavilions have been erected by local and international organisations at the month-long DITF, which remains open from 10am to 9pm daily.
Besides, the fair will remain open till 10pm on government holidays. Ticket price for the adults has been fixed at Tk 40 and minors Tk 20.
Earlier on January 1, the 26th DITF was launched on its new premises at Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal.
