BSTI awards ISO certificate to 7 orgs

The Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) awarded ISO (International Organization for Standardization) certificates to seven organisations for ensuring the management system in accordance with the international standards.

BSTI Director General Md Nazrul Anwar handed over the certificates among the representatives of the awardees at an event held at its headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday. Among the organisations, RMC Chemical Company Ltd, BD Foods Limited, Royal Cement Ltd, and Management and Training International (MTI) Limited were awarded ISO 9001:2015 certificates for their quality management systems.

Besides, Nipro JMI Company Ltd received ISO 14001:2015 certificate while Seam Agro Foods Ltd and Igloo Foods Ltd were awarded ISO 22000:2016 certificates.

While addressing the event, BSTI DG Nazrul Anwar said the organisations received the certificates as they proved themselves as qualified organisations in the field of working environment and management. He also urged the organisations to maintain the working environment and quality of management in the upcoming days. “The recognition will play a pivotal role for the organisations to boost production and create export markets.” Nazrul said BSTI is going to provide halal certificates to expand export markets of Bangladesh.
