The Planning Commission is set to place the revised annual development programme (RADP) of Tk 2,07,550 crore for the Fiscal Year 2021-22 before the National Economic Council (NEC) today.

As foreign aid has not been disbursed as expected, the commission trimmed down the ADP allocation by Tk 17,774 crore. The NEC is likely to approve the RADP at the meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, a senior official of the Planning Ministry told The Business Post.

Transportation and power sectors received the highest allocation in the RADP. Transport sector got the highest Tk 55,827.36 crore and power sector Tk 39,214.09 crore, while the overall ADP allocation was Tk 2,25,324 crore for 2021-22 fiscal year, the official said.

“The commission has trimmed Tk 17,774 crore in foreign funds from the overall allocation of RADP, which is 7.87 per cent less from the original figure,” he added.

The government will fund Tk 1,37,300 crore, while Tk 70,250 crore will be covered by foreign funds, according to the RAPD.
