ACC opens 12 more district offices

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Sunday opened 12 more integrated district offices, aiming to speed up the anti-graft drives across the country.

The offices were inaugurated through separate ceremonies where ACC Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah, its commissioners Md Mozammel Haque Khan and Md Jahurul Haque, ACC Secretary Md Mahbub Hossain and director generals took part.

The new offices were set up in Narayanganj (Narayanganj and Munshiganj), Gazipur (Gazipur and Narsingdi), Gopalganj, Kishoreganj, Jamalpur (Jamalpur and Sherpur), Naogaon (Naogaon and Joypurhat), Kurigram (Kurigram and Lalmonirhat), Chandpur (Chandpur and Lakshmipur), Bagerhat (Bagerhat and Satkhira), Jhenaidah (Jhenaidah, Magura and Chuadanga), Pirojpur (Pirojpur and Jhalakathi), and Thakurgaon (Thakurgaon and Panchagarh).

With the new ones, the total number of ACC integrated district offices stood at 36 across the country.
