Bangladesh on Sunday registered 900 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, while the daily infection rate declined to 11.12 per cent.
The health authorities reported the latest figures after testing 8,091 samples at 880 laboratories across the country.
On Saturday, the test positivity rate was 13.70 per cent.
The country also recorded four more Covid-related deaths in a 24-hour span, taking the tally to 29,234.
With the fresh infections, the total caseload reached 19,96,340, according to the daily virus update by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Meanwhile, 1,983 patients recovered from the infection over the last 24 hours, pushing the overall recovery to 19,24,960.
Bangladesh reported its first cases on March 8, 2020, and the first coronavirus-related death on March 18 of the same year.
