Water levels in 22 rivers rise

Water levels at 22 river stations monitored by Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 85 stations recorded fall.

Among the 109 monitored river stations, two have been registered steady and water level at all river stations is flowing below the danger level, a bulletin issued by the FFWC said on Sunday.

Significant rainfall was recorded at some stations in different districts in the last 24 hours.

A total of 175 mm rainfalls were recorded at Sheola, 125mm at Latu, 89mm at Jaflong, 59mm at Kanaighat, 168mm at Sylhet, 122mm at Dakhinbagh, 86mm at Rangamati and 50mm at Chattak, the FFWC bulletin mentioned.
