Directorate general of Health Services (DGHS) has once again shifted the government Covid test centre for outbound passengers from Army Stadium to Shyamli’s 250-bed TB hospital.
The new decision would come into effect from October 6, health authority confirmed through a press release on Sunday afternoon.
The decision came at a time when mandatory Covid tests for travelling have been relaxed for those who are vaccinated. The government started a Covid test facility for the outgoing passengers at Dhaka North City Corporation’s Corona Dedicated Hospital in Mohakhali upon demands from the international community.
Later, the government shifted the facilitiy to Bangladesh Army Stadium in June 2021.
Anyone traveling overseas can use government facilities for Tk 100.In contrast, it will cost Tk2, 500 in 70 private health care centres.
