Dhaka to host Int’l Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit in Nov

Bangladesh is going to host the International Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit 2022 on November 23-24 in Dhaka.

The summit named International Women Entrepreneurs’ Summit and Bangladesh WICCI Award Ceremony, 2022 was announced at a press conference held at the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) conference room on Monday. Bangladesh-India Business Council (BIBC) President Mantasha Ahmed chaired the event, while BIDA Executive Chairman Lokman Hossain Miah was present as the special guest. The summit’s logo was revealed at the event.

Jointly organised by BIDA and BIBC, the summit will take place at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden. Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry - WICCI and the Association of Fashion Designers of Bangladesh (AFDB) would be the associate partners of the summit.

The BIBC President in her welcoming speech said that on the occasion of Bangladesh’s golden jubilee, they want to organise a summit targeting 50 countries.

“Through this summit, it will be possible to create a strong network for women entrepreneurs at the international level, connect the women entrepreneurs of Bangladesh with the global market and attract domestic and foreign investment in the country’s women-led business sector,” she added.

“BIDA is going to partner with BIBC for the first time in Bangladesh for the International Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference. Now is the time to create a platform to showcase women entrepreneurs globally so that they can gain global knowledge and face challenges. In all this, BIDA will stand by women entrepreneurs,” the BIDA executive chairman said in his speech.
