German Business Council launched in Bangladesh

The German Business Council (GBC), an association of German private companies operating in Bangladesh, was officially launched on Thursday.

The organisation aims to encourage investment and trade with Bangladesh and provide a social environment for business networking for German companies.

Formally registered as a trust on December 24, 2019, the GBC is presently managed by five Board of Trustees representing key German businesses in Bangladesh. The German Embassy in Dhaka officially affiliates the platform in Bangladesh.

GBC Chairman Md Sazzadul Hassan told a press conference held at the German ambassador’s residence that the association will be much more active and focused to deliver its key objectives.
