BASIS members to get UCB business credit card facility

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with United Commercial Bank (UCB) to introduce Visa business credit card facility to BASIS members.

The MoU signing ceremony was held on Sunday at the bank’s head office in Dhaka, according to a media statement.

Through this Visa credit card, BASIS member organisations will get $40,000 per year in IT-related benefits such as software, tools, domain, hosting, etc.

Also, the annual fee for the card is free for the first year and Tk 5,000 from the second year onward. Besides, the annual fee can be waived with 18 point of sale (POS) transactions.

BASIS Secretary Hashim Ahmed and UCB Deputy Managing Director ATM Tahmiduzzaman signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.

BASIS Standing Committee for Member Services and Welfare Chairman Md Shajalal, and UCB Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Business Division Mohammad Shafiqur Rahman were present at the signing ceremony among others.
