Guba Books to launch 6 new titles

Guba Books, known for publishing children’s books in Bangla and English will launch six new titles on December 3 in Dhaka.

The upcoming event called “Stories in the Park” will take place at Justice Shahabuddin Park in Gulshan 2, received a press release on Wednesday.

“We strive to create books that kids are delighted by. Books that foster pride in their heritage, language and culture,” Founder and editor of Guba Books Raya Rahman said.

The launch event includes musical sessions, book readings and lots of fun children’s activities.

Four of the six books were produced in collaboration with The Asia Foundation as part of their “Gom Acho Collection,” which represents and affirm the lives of children affected by the refugee experience.

The other two books feature the beauty and vibrancy of Bangladesh depicted through wonderful storytelling and gorgeous artwork.

Out of the two books “Where are the Chonchols?” features twelve unique festivals of Bangladesh such as Pohela Boishakh, Nouka Baich and Shakrain.
