BGMEA calls on RAJUK to allocate land for apparel club

BGMEA President Faruque has requested the RAJUK to allocate land at Purbachal to build an apparel club to facilitate the meeting and recreation of foreign nationals working for global brands and buyers in Bangladesh offices and RMG factories.

The club would play a role in creating an ambient atmosphere for them to hold meetings and have recreational activities, said a press release on Monday.

BGMEA President Faruque Hassan asked for land when he met with Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) Chairman Anisur Rahman Miah at his office in Dhaka.

BGMEA Vice President Miran Ali was also present at the meeting.

While speaking at the meeting, BGMEA President Faruque Hassan apprised the RAJUK chairman of the huge opportunities that lie in the RMG industry.

He mentioned the incredible achievements of the RMG industry that have boosted the trust and confidence of global buyers in the garments with the “Made in Bangladesh” tag.

“Now global brands and buyers are more interested in expanding their business in Bangladesh.”

“It would help to build a good rapport with the foreign nationals and expats who are working in the RMG sector,” the BGMEA President added.
