Multi-facade research must for making Bangladesh developed: Humayun

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun on Sunday laid emphasis on the best use of talents and carrying out research in various fields to ensure advanced industrialisation.

He came up with the observation while addressing at a discussion celebrating Victory Day. The ministry arranged the event at its conference room with industries secretary Zakia Sultana in the chair.

The minister said that Bangladesh has been moving towards advanced and digital technology-based industrialisation under the guidance of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

“We have started enjoying the benefits of digitalisation in industry. I am calling upon to all involved in industries to go for industrialisation with technology-based thinking”, he added.

State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder at the event focused on the industrialisation to make Bangladesh developed by 2041.

“Bangladesh is considered a role model of development. From a less developed country, it has turned developing country with visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. There is no alternative to an industrial economy to build a developed and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041,” he said.

He called on everyone to carry out their responsibilities honestly and sincerely to build a Bangladesh free from hunger, poverty, and communalism. Earlier, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Kamal Ahmed Majumdar and Zakia Sultana along with other ministry officials placed wreaths at the mural of the Father of the Nation installed in the ministry premises.
