Bangladesh Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mohammed Abu Zafar has called upon foreign investors to invest in Bangladesh and strengthen trade and commerce ties as the country has immense potential for investment now.
He made the call while speaking as the chief guest at the launching ceremony of the 9th International Fire, Safety, and Security Expo 2023 held at Gevora Hotel in Dubai, UAE on Wednesday.
Aiming to raise awareness among people about firefighting, the 9th expo organized by Electronics Safety & Security Association of Bangladesh (ESSAB) will be held on November 21-23 at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Dhaka.
The ambassador also thanked the ESSAB for arranging such expo, and supporting the country to ensure fire safety and security issue in industries as well as residential sites.
“The country’s infrastructure is developing vastly day by day. The government facilitated business environment as well. Now Bangladesh has an immense poten tial for investment,” he added.
While speaking as the special guest, Consul general of Bangladesh at Consulate General in Dubai BM Jamal Hossain said they are with the businesses to resolve all problems to do better business.
“The Bangladesh consul general is always active to help businessmen. I hope trade relationship with UAE will be stronger,” he also said.
ESSAB Secretary General Mahmudur Rashid said a total of 40 business delegations went to UAE from Bangladesh on January 16 to hold several business meetings and take part in the launching ceremony. They will return home on January 20. “We accomplished the soft launching ceremony in the UAE as our many traders do business with the UAE. It will help introduce Bangladesh in the international market about this sector,” he also said.
