The Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) held Earth Day Fair 2023 on the campus on Wednesday.
The fair was organised to celebrate Earth Day aiming to promote sustainable practices and environmental responsibility among the young generation, said a press release. The event has been sponsored by OrganiKare and Kazi & Kazi Tea.
This year, ULAB Earth Day Fair was designed with a tie-dye session, play with clay and pick and paint with a clay station, a yoga session and games and fun-based activities.
Besides, a seminar was held where Dr Maliha Mannan Ahmed, managing director of
Organicare and member of ULAB's Board of Trustees, highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship and investing in sustainable practices to protect the planet's future.
CSD also organised a special workshop led by talented designer Rukaiya Purna. The workshop aimed to provide a platform for aspiring designers to learn more about sustainable fashion and explore innovative ways to create fashion that minimises the negative impact on the environment.
The Earth Day Fair 2023 exhibits ULAB's commitment to sustainable development and its role in shaping environmentally responsible citizens.
Centre for Sustainable Development, ULAB is dedicated to promoting sustainability in Bangladesh and beyond. The centre aims to inspire a new generation of citizens committed to preserving the planet for future generations.
