Fixed wire 5G to facilitate B2B operation

The best use of 5G network in a business to business (B2B) approach can be ensured through 5G FWA (Fixed Wire Access).

“In Bangladesh, specifying the priority areas based on the opportunities for the access to the network by the users is also needed to use the technology in B2B approach,” said SM Nazmul Hasan, principal marketing manager of Huawei South Asia Rep Office, while addressing a media session organised by Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd at Huawei Bangladesh Academy at Gulshan in the capital on Monday.

He said this technology will be more viable for B2B operations, and FWA is the most feasible technology to achieve the goal with lower expenses. And 5G FWA will change the telecommunication ecosystem once 5G rollout is fully introduced in the country.

The media session was organised to brief the media over Huawei’s latest initiative of a month-long seminar and workshop for the ICT and Telecom ecosystem players of Bangladesh, scheduled to start from Tuesday.

Hasan said Huawei has set GUIDE as the theme of this month-long arrangement that stands for Gigaverse Initiative, Ultra-automation Speed Up, Intelligent Computing and Network as a service, Differentiated Expectation on demand, and Environmental, Social and Governance. In next few weeks, the industry stakeholders, including Huawei will be discussing cutting edge technological innovation and foster adequate preparation.

“Digital technologies are vital now for daily operations across industries and therefore, it is necessary to identify the most appropriate technological solutions for promoting sustainable development and accelerating digital transformation,” he added.

“Innovation is in Huawei’s DNA and over half of the company’s employees are working in its research and development unit. In 2022 alone, Huawei invested 25.1% of the total revenue in research,” he informed.

Showing a 5G Customer Premises Equipment (5G CPE) developed by Huawei, Nazmul said 5G FWA will establish a better B2B operation system in Bangladesh and their CPE could be an important part of it.
