PHP Family, a leading industrial group in Bangladesh, extended its warm hospitality to 419 Hajj pilgrims by providing them with courtesy food packets at Shah Amanat International Airport on Tuesday.
The first Hajj flight of this season left for the holy city of Madinah from Chattogram in the morning.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, Shah Amanat Airport Director Group Captain Taslim Ahmed and PHP Family DGM Intekhab Alam Manna, among others, were present on the occasion.
The pilgrims praised the social works of the PHP Family founded by Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, who received the Ekushey Padak for social welfare.
During the ceremony, PHP Family DGM Intekhab Alam Manna said, “Hajj pilgrims are the guests of Allah. We are happy to serve the guests of God.”
The food distribution programme of PHP Family will continue until the last Hajj flight leaves the port city. During this time, over 10,000 pilgrims will get the gift from the PHP Family.
This season, a total of 22 dedicated Hajj flights of Bangladesh Biman with over 10,000 pilgrims will depart from Chittagong for Madinah and Jeddah.
PHP Family was established by Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman, one of the successful and exemplary businessmen among the private institutions that contributed to the country’s economy. Various businesses of the PHP Family have been expanded from the commercial city of Chittagong. Along with businesses, PHP Family has been contributing to the social services and educational sector of the country. This leading industry group has come to the limelight with extensive cooperation in the public and private sectors in various ways since the beginning of the pandemic caused by Covid-19 infections.
