World Marketing Summit 2022 kicks off

The 3rd edition of World Marketing Summit has started on Sunday with the theme ‘Building a Better World through Modern Marketing’.

The two-day online summit is jointly organised by Northern Education Group and Kotler Impact in Bangladesh.

About 10 crore visitors from 160 countries including Bangladesh are participating in the summit.

In this year’s summit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, Prime Minister’s Economic Affairs Adviser Dr Moshiur Rahman, ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak, Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman, and Dhaka University IBA Professor and World Marketing Summit’s Global Advisor Dr Abu Yusuf Md Abdullah are the speakers from Bangladesh.

Technology organisations such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Google are sponsoring tickets for 2 million Bangladeshi university-level students at the World Marketing Summit 2022, the financial value of which is about Tk 2,000 crore.

In his speech, Dr Abu Yusuf Md Abdullah said, “World Marketing Summit 2022 is being held under the initiative of Philip Kotler who is known as the father of marketing. Professor Philip Kotler has been successfully conducting marketing-related programmes in different countries of the world since 2012.”

“The main objective is to impart marketing ideas, create awareness and inform about modern marketing around the world. This will lead to a better understanding of how to protect the world from environmental degradation through poverty alleviation, business expansion, health and environmental improvement, and consumer rights,” he added.

He also said that the summit would have more importance from this year because Kotler Impact Inc had undertaken a special project to help 100 million young people around the world take initiatives in building a better world.
