Circuit Maesters has got shortlisted for the Formula Student UK 2022 as the first Bangladeshi team for the Formula Student Artificial Intelligence class.
Only six teams were shortlisted this year, and they were from top European engineering universities, said a press release on Friday.
Circuit Maesters is a formula student team formed in 2019 by students of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology and Dhaka University.
With a dream of building Bangladesh’s first autonomous electric formula-style car, they started their journey with 30 bright minds.
They are under the supervision of Prof Dr Ehtesanul Islam and Prof Dr Omar Farrok.
Formula Student Artificial Intelligence is one of the world’s largest engineering competitions organized by the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), annually held at the Silverstone UK.
The competition requires teams to participate with their self-built driverless formula car.
