Bangladesh's Takrim win Quran competition in Dubai

Saleh Ahmed Takrim from Bangladesh stood first in the 26th edition of the International Quran Recitation Competition 2023 just like he did last year in the Islamic Republic of Iran Holy Quran Competition in Tehran.

Takrim’s name was announced on the main stage of the Dubai Expo City at 11pm Bangladesh standard time, as confirmed by the Founding Principal of Makrazu Faizil Quran Al Islami Dhaka, Mufti Murtaza Hasan Faizi Masum.

Hafiz Takrim, son of Hafiz Abdur Rahman, is a student of the school of Qitab in the Makrazu Faizil Quran Al Islami Dhaka.

Takrim earned the spot to represent Bangladesh on a tryout presided over by the jurors from Islamic Foundation Bangladesh.

One of the panelists namely Shaykh Shuyyaib Mohammad Al Azhari hailed from Bangladesh.

Abbas Hadi from Ethiopia stood second and Khalid Sulaiman from Saudi Arabia stood third.
