AL announces 12-day programme from Sept 23

Ruling Awami League on Tuesday announced various programmes in Dhaka and outside the capital for 12 days starting from September 23.

The announcement was made after a joint meeting of the presidents and general secretaries of Dhaka metropolitan north and south Awami League and its associate bodies at Dhanmondi in the capital.

Awami League Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif briefed reporters about the programmes after the meeting.

He said a rally will be held at the south gate of the Baitul Mukarram Mosque on September 23 at 2:30pm under the initiative of Dhaka metropolitan north and south Awami League.

On September 25, Dhaka metropolitan north Awami League will hold a rally at Uttara and Dhaka metropolitan south Awami League will hold a rally at Jatrabari at 2:30pm.

Gazipur city Awami League will hold a rally in Tongi on September 27 at 2:30pm. On the same day, Dhaka metropolitan north Awami League will hold a rally at Kafrul in Mirpur.

On September 28, a doa and milad mahfil will be held on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi at the Bangladesh Awami League central office at 23 Bangabandhu Avenue.

On September 29, Bangladesh Awami League will organise a discussion on the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Besides, instructions have been given to take various programmes across the country on this occasion.

On September 30, Bangladesh Krishak League will hold a farmers’ rally at 2:30pm at the Baitul Mukarram mosque’s south gate.

On October 4, Awami League will hold a rally at Mirsarai in Chattogram at 2:30pm.

The announcement over the Awami League programmes came a day after BNP announced a 15-day programme, including five road marches, as part of their ongoing one point-movement demanding resignation of the government.

The programmes will run from September 19 to October 3.
