The ruling Awami League (AL) has fixed the price of the nomination form at Taka 50,000 for the forthcoming 12th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections, while its price was Taka 30,000 during the last 11th parliamentary polls.
AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader revealed the information while talking to reporters at AL Bangabandhu Avenue central office in the capital on Sunday.
Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said the AL nomination papers can be collected and submitted at eight booths, while the price of nomination paper is fixed at Taka 50,000.
He said anyone can collect nomination papers online but they will be informed later when the nomination papers would be available.
The AL general secretary said the nomination forms will be sold at the AL Bangabandhu Avenue central office. "We have started preparation to this end. And if anyone wants to collect nomination papers online, he/she will be able to collect it online," he added.
AL praesidium member Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, office secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, and Dhaka South City AL president Abu Ahmed Mannafi and its general secretary Humayun Kabir were present.
