BNP has said the party will stage countrywide demonstrations even in the month of Ramadan to realise their demand for holding the election under the caretaker government and reducing the prices of daily commodities.
Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, secretary general of the party, made the announcement at an iftar party organised for orphans and Islamic scholars at the Ladies Club in Dhaka on Friday.
On April 1, BNP will hold sit-in programmes in all districts across the country from 2pm to 4pm. On April 8, the party activists and leaders will hold sit-in protests in all metropolitan cities and upazilas from 3pm to 5pm.
Besides, the party will distribute leaflets and hold the human chain and sit-in programmes from April 9 to 13.
