Former industries minister Dilip Barua, also the general secretary of Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal (M-L), has tested positive for Covid-19.
“Now he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital,” said Moshahid Ahmed, central committee member of Bangladesher Samyabadi Dal, on Tuesday.
Dilip Barua’s family urged people of the country to pray for his early recovery.
On January 4, Dilip Barua led a delegation of his party to join a dialogue with President Md Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban over the formation of the Election Commission.
