Over 15,000 N’ganj BCL members join rally in Dhaka

Over 15,000 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s (BCL) Narayanganj unit joined a student rally on Friday arranged by BCL in Dhaka’s Suhrawardy Udyan on the occasion of the national mourning day.

Confirming the matter, Tamim Islam Joy, BCL’s former information and research deputy editor, told The Business Post that under the direction of Narayanganj-4 Constituency Member of Parliament AKM Shamim Osman over 15,000 members of Narayanganj BCL attended this rally.

“Much like we have done in the past, the leaders and activists from all parts of Narayanganj participated spontaneously in the rally. We came on 300 busses. We will keep working together for the betterment of our party,” he added.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined the student rally as the chief guest. BCL President Saddam Hossain chaired the rally moderated by its general secretary Sheikh Wali Ashif Inan.
