Secretary General of Jammat-e-Islami Bangladesh hoped that the interim government would soon withdraw ban on Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh imposed by the fallen Awami League (AL) government.

“Ban on the Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir imposed by through an executive order of fallen Awami League (AL) government can’t be legal,” he said, reports BSS.

Parwar said this while exchanging views with local journalists at the AL Faruk Society auditorium in the city last night.

“We expect that the interim government will return Jamaat’s registration very soon as both the Interim Government and Bangladesh Army evaluated the party after the ousting of the fascist Awami League government on August 5,” he said.

Jamaat leader accused the Awami League of grabbing the AL Faruk Society auditorium which was used to arrange meetings of the party, saying they (AL) looted huge money, and valuables from there and tried to kill Jamaat-Shibir workers.

He urged countrymen to be united against the conspiracy of defeated forces side by side standing beside the distressed people of the flood-affected areas.

Organised by city unit Jamaat-e-Islami, the meeting was addressed, among others, by member of central Majlish-e-Sura and city unit Jamaat Ameer Mahfuzur Rahman, central working committee member and assistant director of Khulna zone Moulana Abul Kalam Azad.

Leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh Master Shafiqul Alam, Mowlana Imran Hossain, Prof Nazibur Rahman, Principal Mowlana Kabirul Islam, Advocate Sheikh Zahangir Hussain Helal, Munsi Mizanur Rahman, Advocate Shah Alam and Principal Shah Alam, among others, were present.
