DU admission tests to be held in divisional cities

The authorities of University of Dhaka have decided to decentralise entry tests and hold them in divisional cities of the country.

The authorities on Monday also made a decision to bring changes in mark distribution for admission tests for the 2020-21 academic session.

The decision was made at a meeting of the DU Admission Committee held on Monday morning.

According to the new decision, a 100 marks' test will be held in four units - A, B, C and D - this year. The marks include 40 for multiple-choice questions and 40 for writing. The remaining 20 will be given based on the results of Secondary School Certificate and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).

Deans of the faculties concerned will be responsible for fixing the duration and subject-wise questionnaires of the exams.
