World coronavirus death toll reaches 1,441,335

Global deaths from the novel coronavirus infection reached 1,441,335 as of Saturday morning, according to the Centre for System Science and Engineering of Johns Hopkins University.

Moreover, 61,549,531 Covid-19 cases have been confirmed around the world.

Although cases of new infection keep growing among the infected world population currently, most of them are in mild condition.

Among the currently 17,747,608 infected patients 17,642,384 are in mild condition, which is 99 per cent, Worldometer records in its daily updates.

On the other hand, 105,224 of the currently infected patients are in serious condition, and their percentage is only one.

So far, 39,400,917 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 20 more Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours as of Friday, increasing the death toll from the pandemic to 6,544.

Besides, the tally of infections has surged to 458,711 as 2,273 new cases were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
