Muktijuddho Moncho demo blocks Shabagh intersection

A demonstration carried out by Muktijuddho Moncho blocked Shabagh intersection for an hour demanding arrest of two leaders of Hefajat-e-Islam and Islami Andolan Bangladesh for threatening to destroy of Bangabandhu's sculpture if it is established.

The demonstration took place at around 4pm and continued till 5:00pm.

The leaders of the organisation announced to held human chain and protest rallies simultaneously across the country on December 1.

They placed seven-point demands including the arrest of Maulana Mamunul Haque, Joint Secretary General of Hefajat-e-Islam and Syed Muhammad Faizul Karim, Senior Naib-e-Amir of Islami Andolan Bangladesh.

Aminul Islam Bulbul and Al Mamun of Muktijuddho Moncho led the demonstration.

Hundreds of people participated in this protest, reported our correspondents.
