National Film Awards 2019 announced, No Dorai wins in 6 categories

The Ministry of Information has announced the winners of the National Film Awards 2019.

"No Dorai" and "Fagun Haway" have jointly been announced the best films of the year.

Taneem Rahman Anghshu, director of "No Dorai, and Sunerah Binte Kamal, the lead actress of the same movie have been announced as the best film director and actress of 2019. The most talked-about film of last year has bagged a total of six awards.

However, the highest number of awards for 2019 has been secured by the Masud Pothik directorial "Maya: The Lost Mother". The film is set to win a total of eight awards in different categories.

Tariq Anam Khan has been selected for the award of Best Actor in the lead role (male) for the film "Abar Boshonto".

Masud Parvez (Sohel Rana) and Kohinoor Akhter Suchanda has been announced as the recipients of Lifetime Achievement Awards for their immense contribution in the Bangladeshi film industry.

Zahid Hasan has won the award of ‘Best Villain’ for his negative role in "Shapludu".

The Ministry of Information disclosed the names of National Film Award-2019 winners in the form of a gazette on Thursday afternoon.

This year's National Film Awards will be given to artists, directors, institutions and films under 26 categories.
