40 Chandpur villages celebrate Eid-ul-Azha

In line with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, around 40 villages, including Hajiganj Sadra Darbar Sharif, are celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Azha on Sunday.

The holy Eid-ul-Azha prayer congregation was held at 9am on the ground of Sadra Darbar Sharif, reports BSS.

Pirzada Allama Zakaria Chowdhury Al Madani of Sadra Darbar Sharif led the congregation.

During a special munajat after the prayers, the devotees prayed for the happiness, security and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah, the country and the nation.

Another Eid Jamaat was held at 9:30 am on the ground of Sadra Hamidiya Fazil Degree Madrasa.

Since 1928, both Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha started to be celebrated in line with Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Late Pir Maulana Ishak (RA) of Sadra Darbar Sharif of Hajiganj Upazila first started the rule and later it was followed by his numerous followers.
