Four shops were gutted in a fire in the Ukil Patti area in Patharghata municipality of Barguna district Friday night.
Station-in-Charge of Patharghta Fire Service Rafiqul Islam said primarily they suspect that the fire might have originated from an electric short circuit in the Ukil Patti area in the municipality Friday midnight, reports BSS.
On information, firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control, he added.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rokunuzzaman said the damage was being estimated by them.
