A couple was killed and two others were injured in a collision between a truck and a private car in Dhopagul area in Sylhet on Monday evening.
The deceased were identified as Abdus Sabur Mia, 27, son of Abdul Malek of Bardhamai village of Juri Upazila in Moulvibazar district and his wife Rahena Akhter, 22.
The injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College and Hospital, said Md Nunu Mia, officer-in-charge of Sylhet Airport Police Station.
He said the accident occurred when the truck hit the Sylhet-bound private car on Sylhet-Kompaniganj Bangabandhu highway this evening.
The bodies were sent to the hospital morgue for autopsies, added the OC.
