The court has issued an arrest warrant against Aman Ullah Aman, who allegedly defrauded actress Eamin Haque Bobby. The warrant was issued yesterday by Judge Saiful Islam of the Dhaka Metropolitan Court No 7.
Earlier, a case was filed at Gulshan Police Station, naming seven individuals and including 10-12 unidentified persons, for robbery and assault at Bobby’s restaurant in the capital's Gulshan area.
On Monday, during a press conference, actress Bobby accused the takeover, looting, fraud, attempted murder, assault and harassment through false cases regarding her restaurant, "BOBStar Dining."
At the press conference, Bobby said, "In pursuit of financial stability and maintaining an honest livelihood, I purchased a restaurant at 113 Road, Gulshan 2, in the YN Centre. Mirza Bashar, a previous acquaintance of Bobby, is involved as an operation partner. An agreement was made with the previous owner, Aman, valuing the restaurant's furniture and other items (interior and others) at 55 lakh taka."
"At the same time, I discussed with the building owner's wife, Shahina Yasmin, and her son Jawan Al Mamun, about the restaurant. They encouraged me to rent the restaurant and promised to create a new lease agreement in our name," she added.
Meanwhile, a case has been filed against Bobby by the Assistant General Manager of YN Centre, Muhammad Sakib Uddoja accusing her of assault with intent to murder and theft.
The case was registered at Gulshan Police Station on June 23. The first accused in this case is Mirza Abul Bashar (34), followed by Bobby as the second accused. The complaint also mentions that the YN Centre suffered damages worth Tk 1,50,000 and thefts amounting to Tk 1,00,000.
The case stems from a restaurant rental agreement. Sakib Uddoja rented a space to Aman. Due to financial difficulties, Aman included Abul Bashar and actress Bobby as partners. The agreement involved purchasing restaurant equipment and a Tk 55 lakh payment from Bobby and Bashar to Aman. However, two cheques, totalling Tk 25 lakh, bounced.
On June 23, tensions flared when Aman locked the restaurant, presumably to restrict Bashar and Bobby's access. Bashar responded by forcefully entering with his car, assaulting the staffs. This prompted Sakib to file a police report accusing them of assault and theft.
Md Abbas, acting on behalf of Bobby, filed a counter-suit against building owner Shahina Yasmin, her son Jawan Al Mamun, and others. The counter-suit accuses Yasmin, Mamun, and the others of severely injuring Bashar with the intention of killing him, and of stealing goods worth 55 lakh taka. The stolen goods include a watch valued at Tk 4 lakh, Tk 1.45 lakh in cash, a gold chain weighing 1.5 tolas and an iPhone.
