Akram Hossain (Humayun) and Md Abdul Hannan have been elected as vice chairmen of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank PLC.
They were elected at the 443rd board meeting held at the bank’s head office on June 30. Both are eminent businessmen and sponsor directors of the bank, according to a press release.
Freedom Fighter and eminent businessman Al-Haj Akram Hossain is also the chairman and managing director of FARS Group. He is engaged in real estate business as well.
He is well recognised for his benevolent contribution to the society through different social welfare activities, education, health and social development movements.
Renowned businessman Abdul Hannan is also the chairman and managing director of Dabstar and Associates Limited along with Murad Apparels Limited. He is also involved with several export oriented ready-made garment and other businesses.
