The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting withdrew the ban on private satellite channel Diganta Television on Thursday, after 11 long years.
In 2013, the Awami League government temporarily suspended Diganta Television’s broadcast, accusing it of irresponsibility, and spreading hatred, and rumours. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has withdrawn this ban given the application of the television authorities.
On August 6, all former officials of the company gathered at the Diganta Television office and discussed the issue of re-launching this channel. They said the television will be on air very soon.
