Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Sunday predicted light to moderate and moderately heavy to heavy rainfall or thundershowers with temporary gusty wind at places over all eight divisions of the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am Sunday.
“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country,” said the weather bulletin issued this morning.
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
Country’s maximum temperature was recorded at 35.1 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat while Sunday’s minimum temperature at 25.0 degrees Celsius was recorded in Rangamati.
Rainfall for the last 24 hours commencing 6am Sunday was recorded 219mm in Sandwip.
The sun sets at 6:35pm on Sunday and rises at 5:33am Monday in the capital.
