Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon have been arrested from the capital’s Gulshan area.
A DMP short message confirmed the matter.
Earlier, a case was filed with a Dhaka court against former Justice AHM Shamsuddin Chowdhury Manik, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JaSod) President Hasanul Haque Inu, and Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon for making defamatory comments about the Zia family.
The court also directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the case and submit a report.
