As many as 210 small and marginal farmers of Sudarganj upazila of the district got seeds and fertilizer free of cost for cultivating black gram (Mashkalai) during the current Kharip-2 season.
Upazila Agriculture Office distributed the seeds and fertilizer among the farmers yesterday at the Upazila Farmers' Training Centre, reports BSS.
Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources said each farmer received 5 kg of seed and 15 kg of chemical fertilizer.
Similar programmes are being conducted in other upazilas of the district.
