Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration Md Mokhlesur Rahman on Sunday stated that the government officials and employees will have to submit their wealth statement by December 21 every year. However, this deadline is November 30 for this year [2024].
Addressing a press brief at the secretariat on the matter, Mokhlesur added, “Through this decision, 15 lakh government employees’ assets will be documented.
“Wealth statements should be submitted to the authorities concerned in a sealed envelope. However, if there is wrong information, the punishment will be as per 1979 regulations. Asset declaration is mandatory for all government officials and employees.”
