Former private industry affairs adviser to ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Salman Fazlur Rahman, former law minister Anisul Huq, former shipping minister Shajahan Khan, former lawmaker Sadek Khan, and former IGP Abdullah-Al-Mamun, were shown arrested in separate murder cases on Tuesday.
Salman, Anisul, Sahjahan and Sadek were arrested in a case lodged over the murder of Kobi Nazrul College student Tahidul Islam, who was killed in the Tejgaon area of the capital on August 4.
In a separate murder case, Salman, Anisul and Mamun were arrested for killing Md Shahabuddin in Agargaon on August 5, reports BSS.
Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Saifuzzaman passed the order scrapping the bail pleas filed by the defendants’ lawyers as investigation officers of the cases appealed to the court to show them arrested in the cases.
